Options Offered
The best roofing system for your building depends on a multitude of factors; slope, environment, business type, budget and personal preference are just a few. That is why we work with multiple roofing system options to ensure you get the best product, regardless of which system assembly is right for you.
Single Ply Membrane. A single-ply membrane roofing system consists of sheets of composite materials (thermoplastic polyolefin) that are laid across your roof. These sheets are attached either mechanically (with fasteners) or via adhesion (with industrial strength adhesives). Seams are then heat-welded together, to produce a single layer of protection.
The most popular single ply membrane systems are PVC and TPO. With disparate chemical compositions, each offers somewhat differing benefits.

Flexion’s unique thermoplastic formulation is a modified PVC, reinforced with DuPont Elvaloy™ for superior strength, durability and flexibility and is naturally fire resistant.
BUR/Mod Bit – Florida Roof Design is one of the few remaining Florida contractors still capable of “old school” commercial roofing. If you prefer the traditional “hot mop” roofing system, rest assured our professionals are able to give you an unbeatable result. Properly maintained, a BUR/Mod roof will provide 20+ years of waterproof protection. With our modified bitumen, the white granulated cap sheet is reflective and durable, even in Florida’s extreme heat.
Tile. Florida architecture lends itself to clay or concrete tile roofing systems. Strong, durable, and aesthetically pleasing, this is a very popular roofing system. However, to ensure full waterproofing value, it is imperative the entire system is properly installed, including the underlayment and trim. Our professionals have experience from ranging from historical restorations like St. Augustine’s century-old Flagler College, to new construction on Tampa’s MacDill Air Force Base and the full re-roofing of AutoNation’s Ford of Delray dealership in South Florida.
Metal. Nothing is tougher than metal. When you are looking for the pinnacle in strength, durability and longevity, look no further. R panel, PBR, Standing Seam, 5v or Custom Copper—We can handle your metal re-roof. We have installed a new metal roof over hugger bars on an airplane hangar 65’ at the ridge for the defense contractor Northrop Grumman and have custom fabricated copper standing seam for high end properties in the World Golf Village Community, and many others.
Shingle. We aren’t talking about your Grandma’s 3-tab shingle roof. Today’s shingles offer greater wind and UV resistance, new colors, designs and even the ability to mimic other roofing styles such as slate, shake or copper panels.
